Simone has over 16 years of experience in infrastructure investments and corporate finance and is part of Cube’s Energy Transition investment team.

Since joining in 2007, he has been active in the execution of transactions and the asset management of portfolio companies in the European infrastructure space, with a focus on Energy Transition (renewable energy assets such as wind, solar PV, hydro, as well as Waste-to-Energy, district heating and energy efficiency services) in France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, UK and the Nordics.

He has been a Supervisory Board member of Idex until August 2018 and is currently a Supervisory Board member of CogenInfra and Enetiqa, a member of the Board of Directors of Varanger Kraftvind and Chairman of the Board of Greco and Norsk VannKraft.

Mr. Pini began his career in the M&A Energy team of Mediobanca, Milan. He is a graduate with honors from Politecnico di Milano and holds a diploma from the Alta Scuola Politecnica as well as an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs. He has earned the right to use the CFA designation.

An Italian citizen, he is also fluent in English and French.
