Luxembourg, January 7th, 2026 – Cube Infrastructure Managers (“Cube IM”) is pleased to announce the closing of €150 million of co-investment commitments for its joint venture platform, CubIKS GmbH (“CubIKS”), established by Cube Infrastructure Fund III in partnership with The Dillinger Group, a Germany-based developer, EPC and operator of renewable energy plants. With the closing of this co-investment, CubIKS has raised total equity commitments of €325 million from its shareholders.
CubIKS is Cube Infrastructure Fund III’s 13th platform investment. It was set up in Q1 2025 as a buy-and-build energy transition platform that would seek organic growth to own a diversified portfolio of solar photovoltaic (“solar PV”) power plants mounted on ground and carport rooftops across Germany and Northern Italy. The platform targets to own and operate 1 GW of solar PV assets in aggregate installed capacity over the next five years, hybridized with co-located battery energy storage systems (“BESS”) wherever feasible, especially in Germany.
Being at the core of the European energy markets and benefitting from strong government policy and regulatory support driving the transition to a low-carbon economy, Germany and Italy offer an attractive market for large-scale investments in the solar PV and BESS sectors. Both countries have set ambitious targets to increase the share of renewable energy in their final energy consumption, driven by the necessity to decarbonize their energy mix in line with EU policies and to ensure their energy security.
The €150 million co-investment program was supported by existing investors of Cube Infrastructure Fund III — Canadian pension funds and a Japanese institution — who invested via a Cube IM-managed co-investment vehicle. This co-investment program is Cube IM’s largest to date and brings the overall co-investment commitments for Cube Infrastructure Fund III to over €400 million. Cube Infrastructure Fund III has fund commitments of €1.35 billion and a total of €1.76 billion when including co-investments.
Saket Trivedi, Partner and Head of Energy Transition at Cube Infrastructure Managers, commented: “We are proud and grateful to have received continued support from our existing investors for this latest co-investment fundraise. Their participation in CubIKS demonstrates strong confidence in Cube IM’s energy transition investment strategy and its ability to deliver scalable, high-quality renewable energy platforms in partnership with well-established and experienced developers and operators such as The Dillinger Group“.
