October 17, 2022 – Sepur Group, a leading municipal waste collection operator in France mainly present in the Ile-de-France region, acquired ECT Collecte. The group will extend its operations to six new departments with the acquisition of this regional waste collection company, which serves 700 municipalities.

Achievement of synergies to better serve local authorities

Thanks to its regional positioning and historical expertise in serving local authorities, ECT Collecte will fit in perfectly with the group with which it shares the same values. “Our DNA is common: proximity and reactivity, operational excellence, excellent knowledge of our areas of operation and their specificities”, declares Youri Ivanov, President of Sepur.

Accelerate its development by strengthening its presence in adjacent regions

Following its geographical expansion into new areas adjacent to the Ile-de-France region, Sepur will be able to rely on ECT Collecte’s expertise to increase its geographical coverage in the departments of Haute-Marne (52), Allier (03), Marne (51), Côte-d’Or (21), Nièvre (58) and Aube (10). Sepur, which serves nearly 2,000 municipalities and 10 million inhabitants, is thus strengthening its presence with fifteen additional depots and 127 new employees, currently serving 700 municipalities and 400,000 users.

An ambitious development plan

Sepur continues to pursue its development strategy through organic and external growth by acquiring ECT Collecte. The company is thus establishing itself as a national player in municipal waste collection.

“With a turnover of almost €10 million in 2021, ECT Collecte will play an active role in the development of Sepur group in France by maintaining a local offer while benefiting from the group’s financial strength. This acquisition will enable Sepur to reach a turnover of €330 million by 2023.
