Aurélien is Managing Director in the Telecoms team and Head of ESG, he joined in 2010.

Since joining, Aurélien has been actively involved in the origination, acquisition and development of several fiber operators (brownfield and greenfield) and more recently datacenters. He previously also contributed to energy transition investments (district heating, wind, hydro, solar and energy-from-waste).

He is a member of the Asset Management Committee and of the ESG Committee and a permanent guest of the Investment Committee. Aurélien has been leading the firm’s ESG strategy and overseeing developments across portfolio companies.

Aurélien began his career in finance in 2008 in London and Paris. In his spare time, he is an adjunct professor at HEC Paris and heads a rural African microfinance nonprofit organization.

Aurélien, CAIA, graduated with highest honors from the Ecole des Mines (MSc in Civil Engineering) and from HEC Paris (MSc in International Finance, Energy certificate) with additional training at EM Lyon.

A French citizen, he is fluent in English, French and Portuguese and has a basic command of German, Spanish and Chinese.
