Since its inception, CogenInfra has acquired six heating networks, growing its revenue from €4 million in 2018 to €114 million in 2022. Founder and CEO Francesco Vallone also details CogenInfra’s efforts to establish a diversified energy mix, a crucial element for energy security. He says, “Whenever possible, we aim to integrate more sustainable energy sources to fuel our district heating networks. For instance, we have switched our first district heating network in Borgaro from natural gas to biomass in 2021.”
