Idex is a leading independent infrastructure and energy services group in France.
Founded in 1963 and headquartered near Paris, Idex is an integrated operator of energy infrastructure assets, operating district heating and cooling networks (including the Paris La Défense network), energy-from-waste facilities and a large portfolio of energy services contracts with a wide variety of counterparties.
Idex grew significantly under Cube’s stewardship through a successful build-up of the platform via synergistic acquisitions and major contract wins. Upon exit, Idex was the third largest operator in both the district heating and energy efficiency services markets in France. The company employed around 4,000 people and generated revenues of approximately EUR 860 million.
Cube successfully sold Idex to Antin Infrastructure Partners in 2018.
